The award winning Djibouti Data Center (DDC) will be speaking at, and participating in, Capacity Africa on September 5 – 6, 2018 in Kigali, Rwanda.

On September 6th at 2:00 pm, the DDC’s Chief Operating Officer – Mr. Demos Kyriacou – will join a panel of experts to discuss the shift in developed markets away from traditional cable landing stations to “hosting data at the oceans edge.”  In developed markets, there is a clear progression away from traditional cable landing stations to hosting data in combined cable landing stations and carrier neutral data centers.  A panel of experts will discuss what this trend means for the future of terrestrial and sea convergence in Africa. The panel discussion is titled, Are Africa’s Cables Edgy Enough – The Data Center vs. Landing Station Debate in Context.
